Hey Guys, it’s Radhika here!

Welcome back to my channel, and today’s vlog is a little different. For all my MBA grad, CA student hustlers out there, this one’s for you! I’m calling it “Workaholic Confessions: My MBA, CA Journey & How I’m Finding Growth.”

Let’s be honest, the MBA and CA path is tough. Between classes, exams, internships, and that never-ending pile of assignments, it’s easy to get burnt out. For the longest time, that was me. All I did was work, study, sleep, repeat. There was no social life, no hobbies, and definitely no mental space for anything else.

One day, bang! I hit rock bottom. Stress took a toll on my health, and I just couldn’t focus anymore. It was a wake-up call.

So, I started making changes. Small things at first. Took a yoga class, reconnected with old friends, even started reading for fun again (shocking, I know!). Slowly, I found a balance.

Here’s the thing – being a workaholic doesn’t make you more successful. In fact, it can hinder your progress. By prioritizing my well-being, I found I was more focused, more productive, and overall, just happier.

Remember, all that cramming, classes, exams – it can really take a toll on you!

So, today I’m gonna delve a bit deeper and share some specific experiences that helped me break free from that grind and find a healthier balance.

There’s this weird badge of honor in the MBA world, right? Pulling all-nighters before exams or presentations. Been there, done that! But let me tell you, those bleary-eyed mornings filled with stale coffee and regret were not cute.

One day, right before a big exam, I decided to try something different. I went to bed early, got a full night’s sleep, and woke up feeling refreshed. Believe it or not, I aced that exam! It was a total eye-opener. Turns out, a well-rested brain is a powerful thing.

Another thing that saved me? Yoga! In the midst of all that textbook chaos, that hour on the yoga mat became my sanctuary. Focusing on my breath, stretching my tired muscles, it all helped me de-stress and recharge. Plus, let’s be honest, those downward-facing dog poses felt pretty amazing after hours hunched over a laptop!

Remember how I mentioned neglecting my social life? Yeah, big mistake. During a particularly intense study period, I completely isolated myself from friends and family. One day, my mom called, clearly worried about me. That’s when I realized how much I missed those connections.

So, I made a conscious effort to reconnect. Weekly calls with my bestie, movie nights with old college friends – slowly, I built back that support system. Guess what? Having people to talk to, laugh with, and share the stress with made a world of difference.

These are just a few examples, but they really made a difference in my journey. It wasn’t about some grand overhaul of my life. It was about small, sustainable changes. A yoga class here, a coffee date with a friend there. Gradually, I found a way to integrate these healthy habits into my crazy MBA and CA schedule.

Remember, you’re not alone!

The most important thing I learned is that you don’t have to be a martyr to succeed. There’s a whole community of students and working professionals out there going through the same thing. So, take breaks, find your stress relievers, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Trust me, a balanced and happy you is a much more successful you!

See you next time!
